Duff H. from Monmouth County contacted Quality 1st Basements for a free estimate to have one of our Foundation Repair Specialist out to inspect the propety and design a solution for the failing foundation.  Foundation Repair Specialist, Ken Peare, did a full inspection of the exterior foundation and noticed several sections of the building had started to pull away from the rest of the foundation causing large gaps and multiple cracks. He explained to Duff that soil is the main cause for foundation failure. Soil becomes either too wet, too dry or poorly compacted and becomes weak. That weak soil is no longer strong enough to hold the weight of the foundation causing it to settle, shift or separate.
