Ineffective Support Beams
The System Design Specialist did a thorough walkthrough of the homeowner's basement. The walls had support beams in place that were proving to be ineffective, as there was still bowing of the walls. The homeowner called Quality 1st Basements for a permanent and effective solution.
CarbonArmor Epoxy
The CarbonArmor System includes carbon fiber strips that have 10 times stronger in tension than steel. The strips are applied with epoxy resin and the strips are then bonded to the interior of the wall. Here, the epoxy is being applied before applying the carbon fiber strip.
CarbonArmor Finished
The CarbonArmor has been applied to the wall, stabilizing it and preventing it from future bowing and cracking.
