Pool Patio Repair in Brick, NJ

This homeowner in Brick, New Jersey noticed their pool patio was sinking and becoming unlevel. This happens because concrete is often poured over poorly compacted soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids underneath the concrete. This can be dangerous because a friend or family member can trip and injure themselves.

The homeowner made a call to Quality 1st Basement Systems after receiving a ValPak in the mail. Our customer service representative was able to book them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Laura McIntyre, and Laura provided an inspection. Upon her inspection, Laura noticed how the pool patio could be a dangerous tripping hazard. Laura suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the sinking slab.

Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, arrived at the job site and began the process of using the PolyLevel Injection System. This process is achieved by drilling small, penny-sized holes in the slab and injecting the foam to fill the voids and lift the slab. This process can be done within a day and requires minimal disruption to the concrete.  PolyLevel is a lightweight, waterproof, and environmentally friendly solution that will not wash out, or add any weight to the existing soil.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome, as well as the professionalism throughout their experience. They were able to safely walk around their pool without having the concern of tripping or injuries.

Pool Deck Repair in Brick, NJ

A homeowner in Brick, NJ planned on closing their pool for the summer, until they discovered cracks and some concrete slabs were sinking one inch. They did not want to have to deal with issues when the pool reopened, so the homeowner needed to find a solution quickly. After searching the Internet, the homeowner found Quality 1st Basement Systems and thought they would be the perfect fit.

After a quick phone call, the appointment was scheduled for our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe. Once Chris arrived at the home, on time, he proceeded to inspect the pool deck. Afterward, he presented his findings to the homeowner and knew the best repair method would be using our Polylevel Injection and NexusPro Joint Sealant.

A few days after Chris's inspection, our foreman, Sean Johnson, and crew arrived at the home to repair the pool deck. First, our crew drilled small, penny-like holes into the sinking concrete slab. Next, they used specially designed equipment to inject the polylevel foam into the void. Once the void has been filled, the foam expands and lifts the concrete slab to the desired height. The process is repeated until the entire pool deck has been repaired. Finally, our crew seals and cracks and gaps using our waterproof NexusPro Joint Sealant.

In conclusion, the repair project was a complete success. The installation went smoothly, and the pool deck was ready to be closed for the winter. The homeowner was very satisfied.

Driveway Repair in Brick, NJ

A homeowner in Brick, New Jersey noticed their driveway became very unlevel and started shifting. This can be dangerous of potential tripping hazards, pooling water, and cracking in the concrete. This can happen because concrete is poured over backfilled soil. Over time, this loose soil settles and creates a void under the concrete. As you can see in the picture, this driveway was extremely unstable and could cause serious damage to a person's well-being.

The homeowner called Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Jeff Nero, was able to provide an inspection and help them with this issue. He suggested they use polyurethane foam under the slab to lift and level it.

Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, used the PolyLevel Injection System to be injected under the slab to fill the voids. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes in the concrete slab where the polyurethane is injected into the void. The polyurethane foam has expanding properties that help lift and level the slab back to its original position. PolyLevel is also environmentally friendly, waterproof, and is lightweight so that it will not add weight to existing soil.

Home Concrete Leveling in Brick, NJ

A Brick, NJ homeowner was in need of a concrete repair, so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems. The homeowner explains that their home rested on concrete that began settling, causing sinking sensations inside the home. We then scheduled our Concrete Repair Specialist, Jeffrey Pitek, to inspect the situation.

Jeffrey arrived at the home, on time, and provided a full inspection of the home. Luckily, there was no serious damage done to the home. After providing his full inspection, Jeff then presented his findings to the homeowner and recommended our Polylevel Injection would be the perfect repair solution. Polylevel is a better solution than mudjacking because it is stronger, waterproof, and environmentally friendly.

Our crew first drilled small, penny-like holes into the concrete slabs and used specially designed equipment to inject the polymers into the void. Once the void has been filled, the polymers expand and raise the slab back to its original height. The process is repeated until the entire area is repaired.

Since the repair, the home was brought back to its original height, and the homeowner did not experience any other issues again. This results in their full satisfaction with Quality 1st Basement Systems.

Basement Waterproofing Installation in Brick, NJ

A homeowner in Brick, NJ discovered water seeping into their basement during heavy rains. They were concerned about possible floods and water damage, so they needed to find the best waterproofing solution. After searching the Internet for possible solutions, the homeowner discovered Quality 1st Basement Systems and decided they would be the perfect fit.

We scheduled our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe, to go to the home and provide a full inspection, and quote for the homeowner. After arriving at the home, on time, Chris greeted the homeowner and proceeded to do a full inspection of the basement. Chris discovered water seeping through the concrete walls, indicating there was water buildup over the years. He presented this to the homeowner and suggested our full basement waterproofing system would be the perfect solution. Within the next few days, our crew arrived and fully waterproofed the basement.

The main components of the full waterproofing systems include the WaterGuard French Drain System, Triple Safe Sump Pump, and SaniDry Sedona.

The first product to be installed was our Waterguard French Drain System, which collects any water seeping from the walls and directs it to the Triple Safe Sump Pump. The WaterGuard System is installed about the mud zone, so it will not clog and back up with water.

Next, our Triple Safe Sump Pump was installed; this product pumps out excess water away from the basement. Our Triple Safe Sump Pump provides three levels of protection, so the homeowner is always notified when there is bad weather coming, or if the sump pump needed to be drained.

Finally, our SaniDry Sedona was the final product to be installed; this is our five-star dehumidifier and air filtration system that provides clean air for the basement. The SaniDry Sedona will eliminate dampness and humidity, allowing the basement to be fully dry and secure.

In conclusion, the homeowner was happy with their experience with Quality 1st Basement Systems and the outcome. They did not have to worry about water damage again, resulting in their full satisfaction with Quality 1st Basement Systems.

Installation in Brick, NJ Keeps the Water Out But Lets the Sunshine In

Darlene M. from Brick, NJ was concerned when she saw water on her basement floor and wall.  Upon a closer look, she noticed that the water was making its entrance through the window.  Darlene needed a permanent fix so she called Quality 1st Basement Systems.

The specialist found an open-topped, weed-filled, metal window well around Darlene’s problem window.  This type of window well typically allows rain water and/or gutter overflow to enter the well area and seep toward the window and foundation wall.  Also, the open top lets debris in and the dirt on the bottom of the well is suitable for uninvited growth. The Quality 1st Basement Solution, a SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure, would eliminate these issues.

Darlene’s water problems in the basement (and weed-filled wells) were resolved with the installation of the durable plastic SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure with sturdy, clear plastic cover. Darlene earned an additional benefit from this solution:  added brightness to the basement from the sunlight reflecting off the light-colored well enclosure!  Darlene was happy she called Quality 1st Basement Systems to resolve her problem.
