This Sewell, NJ homeowner was experiencing sinking slabs around their pool area. Since they were getting ready to close their pool in a few short weeks, they decided to wait before replacing the slabs. A few days later they noticed one of Quality 1st Basement Systems Concrete Lifting & Leveling trucks in their neighborhood and decided to call for a free estimate.

Poolside Patio Settlement In Sewell, NJ

We were able to assist this Sewell, NJ, homeowner after they contacted us with concerns pertaining to ongoing signs of settlement around their backyard pool deck. The owner was worried about a potential decline in safety standards relating to tripping hazards and unsafe walking conditions as a result of uneven and disheveled slabs.

Our system design specialist John swiftly arrived at the home and began conducting an extensive evaluation of the walkway in order to deliver the owner with the most effective repair approach.

Following this inspection, our foreman Ash and his crew reached the property and started drilling penny-sized holes in specific placements along the surface, to ultimately begin implementing our PolyLevel Foam Injections. Once the crew fully administered PolyLevel beneath the sunken slabs, we were able to lift and restore the weakened uneven slabs to their designated surface height. With this heavy-duty polyurethane based repair method injected, we not only repair the walkway but we eliminate the main cause of settlement in the process, by strengthening the load bearing capabilities of the slabs by filling in voids left from poorly compressed fill soil. With this repair method successfully in place, we have increased safety standards and the visual appeal of this pool deck, allowing this homeowner to rest easy and fully rejoice in their newly improved poolside patio!

Concrete Repair In Sewell, NJ

In Sewell, NJ a homeowner was becoming overwhelmed due to settlement issues surrounding their backyard pool deck—characterized by cracks, uneven surfaces, and structural instability. Luckily the owner was able to formally meet with our System Design Specialist Jeff who surveyed the entire property and recommended PolyLevel Foam Injections, a minimally invasive method involving the injection of high-density polyurethane foam to lift and stabilize the deck. After this evaluation, our foreman JD and his crew began administering PolyLevel beneath the sunken slabs, ultimately restoring the entire walkway to its original designated surface height.  Not only does this repair method entirely restore the surface but it also completely strengthens the weakened slabs by increasing the load-bearing capabilities, this stems from its unique ability to fill in voids left from poorly compressed soil. With this heavy-duty product successfully in place, this pool deck was safeguarded against future settlement!

Concrete Patio Lifted in Sewell, NJ

A homeowner in Sewell, New Jersey saw their concrete patio was sinking and becoming unlevel. This happens because concrete is often poured over poorly compacted soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids underneath, which causes the slab to shift. This can be dangerous because a friend or family member could trip and injure themselves.

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe, was able to provide an inspection of the home and help them find a solution. Upon his inspection, Chris noticed that the concrete patio was shifting and unlevel. He suggested a polyurethane foam to lift and level the slab.

Our foreman arrived on the site and began the process of using the PolyLevel Injection System. This process is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the slab and injecting the polyurethane foam into the voids underneath. This process can be done within a day and does not require the use of heavy equipment.

PolyLevel is a lightweight, environmentally friendly, and water-proof solution that will not wash out, or will not add any weight to the existing soil. The polyurethane has expanding properties that allow for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome. They were able to safely walk on their concrete patio without the concern of tripping or injuries.
