A homeowner in Tenafly, New Jersey saw their concrete walkway was sinking and settling. This happens because concrete is poured over backfilled soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids under the concrete. This can be a dangerous safety hazard because a family member or a friend could trip and hurt themselves.

Upon inspection, Dylan saw the issue on the concrete walkway immediately. As you can see in the picture, the concrete walkway was unleveled and sinking. Dylan suggested they use a polyurethane foam that will help lift the concrete to a level position. 

Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, used the PolyLevel Injection System under the concrete to lift the slab. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete slab, and injecting the polyurethane foam into the holes, and into the concrete. PolyLevel has expanding properties that allow for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab. PolyLevel is a waterproof, lightweight, and environmentally friendly solution that will not degrade or add weight to the existing soil.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy with the outcome. Their walkway was lifted to a position where they could safely walk on it without worrying about tripping.
