A homeowner in Berlin, NJ noticed their concrete backyard patio was sinking so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a solution. We used our PolyLevel Injections to lift, level and stabilize the concrete area permanently.
In a home with a finished basement, leaking water can infiltrate and damage the interior of the living space in many different ways. For this Berlin, NJ home, the water seeping into the home was getting trapped beneath the vinyl flooring and damaging the basement space. The homeowner wanted to protect their home and ensure that their basement wouldn't be exposed to damaging water conditions. Our team came to assess the basement and install a solution that would satisfy the homeowner's concerns. We replaced the old flooring with our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring. Made up of inorganic material, these planks imitate real hardwood flooring without the risk of rotting or trapping water. ThermalDry Planks have a pegged underside that provides a thermal break between the concrete base and the new floor, as well as allows leaking water to flow beneath it without getting trapped. We also installed our EverLast Walling on half of the wall to eliminate the risk of water damage along the base of the wall where water presence is greater. With these new products, this basement has a beautiful, waterproof finish!
This homeowner in Blairstown, New Jersey noticed their basement wall was cracking and bowing inwards. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our foreman, Wilver Cardoza installed the CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcement System which is made from a fiber-reinforced polymer with a high-strength epoxy resin. This system provides the ultimate stabilizing of the wall. There are brackets above that allow the system to be adjusted to bring the wall back towards its original position.
This homeowner in Blairstown, New Jersey noticed their pool patio was sinking and becoming unlevel. This can happen from soil erosion underneath the slab. When water runs down through the cracks and joints in the concrete, it washes the soil out as it passes through. We sent our System Design Specialist, Jeffrey P. to provide an inspection, and he suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete. We used our PolyLevel Injections by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. This process is repeated until the concrete is brought to a raised position. When the job was done, the concrete was raised and level. The homeowner was satisfied with the results and they didn't have to worry about tripping hazards!
