Resolving Foundation Settlement In Parkville, MD Basement

Overtime, a homeowner in Parkville, MD grew concerned when they discovered their basement walls were starting to bow and crack, clear warning signs of potential structural instability. Recognizing that these issues often worsen over time, they reached out to Quality 1st for a professional evaluation. Our team conducted a thorough inspection to identify the precise cause of the foundation settlement, ensuring we could design a solution that addressed both the immediate damage and the underlying source of the problem.

With the assessment complete, we developed a customized repair plan that included installing our patented CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System to stabilize the compromised walls and prevent further inward movement. To safeguard the basement from water intrusion, often a contributing factor to foundation stress, we also installed the high-powered TripleSafe Sump Pump System, paired with our IceGuard Discharge Line to ensure proper drainage even during freezing conditions.

Together, these solutions provided the homeowner with long-lasting structural reinforcement and improved basement protection!

SuperSump Install in GlenArm, MD

Water was getting into the basement through the customer's window and just puddling on the floor. We corrected the issue by installing a Super Sump Pump, WaterGuard, and a Well Duct. The well duct installed will direct any water that gets in down to the WaterGuard, which then directs the water over to the Super Sump to get pumped out of the basement.

Bowing Wall in Glen Arm, MD

Customer reached out to us with concerns of the top portion of their foundation wall was bowing inward about 2 to 3 inches and feared after time this would only get worse.

Our solution for this bowing foundation wall was to install 5 Full Wall Channel Anchors, which will permanently stabilize the foundation wall and, in time, can straighten the wall back towards its original position.

Humidity Control in Glen Arm, MD

This was a partially finished basement that in the warmer months, would become very humid. Humidity can lead to condensation, which can lead to mold. We came out and installed our SaniDry Upright XP Dehumidifier. This dehumidifier eliminates damp, musty odors by drying and filtering the air, all while being tucked away in the corner or closet of your basement.

SuperSump in Glen Arm, MD

In this home, we removed the old non-working sump and installed our premier SuperSump that is excellent for its performance and value. Our SuperSump is a cast iron pump which is durable to withstand heavy water flow with an airtight lid that will keep out any debris or pests. The pump is installed with a WaterWatch alarm system that will indicate a power outage, tripped breaker or any type of sudden shutdown. This system is effective and will keep your basement dry from future flooding.
