Concerns about repeated water seepage and noticeable floor sagging led a Bear, DE homeowner to seek out a permanent solution before more serious structural problems could develop.
Upon inspection, Quality 1st identified two primary issues, foundation settlement compromising floor stability, and groundwater intrusion through the wall-floor joint and porous basement walls. The combination posed a significant risk not only to the home's structural integrity but also to the indoor air quality due to excess moisture and the potential for mold growth.
To resolve these issues, our team implemented a dynamic waterproofing and foundation repair system. We began by installing our WaterGuard Drainage System along the interior perimeter to capture and redirect groundwater to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which offers triple-layer protection, including a battery backup. CleanSpace Wall Panels were added to act as a moisture barrier and guide wall seepage into the drainage system, while IceGuard was installed on the discharge line to prevent freezing-related backups. Finally, to stabilize the sagging floor and address the foundation settlement, we installed our SmartJack Support System, providing adjustable, long-term support.
With these solutions in place, the homeowner now enjoys a structurally sound, dry, and healthy basement environment!
This homeowner reached out to Basement Systems regarding leaky walls and water coming through cracks into the basement after any type of rainstorm they would have. Our team went out to the property to drill a trench all alongside the foundation wall in order to install our sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard. Our WaterGuard system collects water from the wall and floor and redirects it to flow into the sump pump. The sub-floor drain sits above the footer so it can capture all the water that comes through and safely channel it away rather than leaking through the wall and into the home, which would cause flooding over time.
This customer reached out regarding a foundation wall that would leak during heavy rainfall. To prevent future basement flooding due to window well leakage, the team installed our WellDuct Window Well drain that captures the water coming through the wall crack. Our WellDuct is a drainage channel that connects from the window base to the interior sub-floor drainage system that flows the water to the sump pump system.
Customer was in the process of finishing their basement and needed to upgrade the standard size window to an Egress. We came out and installed a Slider Egress window with a Rockwell Window well and Elite/ Premier Cover.
Customer reached out to us because they wanted to finish their basement, but first wanted to get it up to code and install an Egress window. We came out and installed a Slider Egress Window with a Metal Egress Well and Well Cover.
