Customer reached out looking to replace his 2 basement windows and leaky, rusting wells. We upgraded this customer to our EverLast Windows and Sunhouse wells with well covers. Our SunHouse wells will never rust or rot and are bright which means they will reflect a lot of natural light in to your basement.
In Wilmington, DE, a homeowner grew increasingly frustrated with persistent water seepage in their basement, which over time led to serious concerns about mold growth and structural rot. Wanting a permanent solution, they reached out to Quality 1st for help.
Our team conducted a thorough inspection of the space and designed a customized waterproofing plan to address the issue at its source. The solution included the installation of our patented WaterGuard Drainage System to capture and redirect water, CleanSpace Wall Panels to create a moisture-resistant barrier, and our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump to ensure powerful, reliable water removal.
Shortly after the installation, the homeowner saw a dramatic improvement—the basement was dry, healthy, and free of the issues that once plagued it. With the new system in place, they were left with total peace of mind!
This customer had lived in her 80-year-old home for 20 years. Her basement periodically got wet during heavy rains, but during one particularly bad storm, so much water poured in that after a short time, it was high enough to cover her ankles. Our inspector went out and found that only one wall was leaking, so the installation of 20 feet of WaterGuard was enough to keep the water from coming in. This basement had no sump pump, so we needed to install one. Not wanting to ever experience another flooded basement, our customer had us install a TripleSafe Sump System with battery backup. As the name implies, the Triple Safe has three pumps. Pump 1 does the majority of the pumping. Pump 2 kicks in if Pump 1 is unable to keep up during a severe storm, and Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up system. If you lose power, the UltraSump’s 120 amp power pack, when fully charged, can pump a total of 12,000 gallons of water, at 2,018 gallons per hour. Barring a severe storm that leaves you without power for more than a few days, the UltraSump should get you through until power is restored and the battery can begin to charge again.
At this property, water would come down the stairwell from the alleyway with no way to drain, which was causing water to intrude into the basement. In order to effectively capture the surface water, we installed our TrenchDrain Surface Drainage System that is the full length of the door opening and will prevent the basement from flooding. This unique design is reinforced plastic that won't crack or dent and is installed with an easily removable cover that gives you access to clear the channel in case of build-up.
Customer reached out to us with concerns of water coming in through the wall and sometimes up through the floor whenever there was a heavy rain storm in the area. We came out to the property to install a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, Waterguard, TripleSafe Sump Pump and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Once those items were installed and the basement was now protected from any water intrusion, the customer had us assess and re-pour the concrete floor. As you will see in the "Before" picture, the state of the customer's current floor, was not the best condition, it was cracked all throughout and even parts of the concrete had chipped away causing deep and wide cracks and uneven floors. We ended up breaking up and hauling away the old concrete floor and then pouring a new one. Now the customer has an even floor and a dry, bright and clean basement!
