This customer was in the process of renovating their Philly home and was looking to add an Egress in their basement. An egress is not only a way to safely exit the basement in case of an emergency, but Egress windows also allow in a lot of natural lighting.
The Egress at this Philadelphia rental property was poorly designed and was causing water to leak into the basement. This is where we came in. We came out to the property and replaced the existing egress and well with our 48x48 Slider Egress window with a 72" deep Boman Kemp window well and grate cover.
A minor basement nuisance had slowly grown into a persistent and disruptive problem for a homeowner in Philadelphia, PA. Water seepage continued to make its way inside after every rainfall, raising concerns about long-term damage, mold growth, and the overall health of the space. Realizing the issue would only worsen without a permanent solution, the homeowner turned to Quality 1st for expert help.
Once on site, our team carefully inspected the basement and quickly identified the precise source of the moisture, allowing us to engineer a tailored waterproofing plan that addressed the problem at its root.
To protect the basement from future water intrusion, we installed our patented WaterGuard Drainage System and paired it with our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump for reliable, high-performance water removal. CleanSpace Wall Panels were added to provide moisture-resistant protection along the walls, and our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity levels under control and prevent mold growth.
With these advanced systems working together, the once-damp and worrisome basement was transformed into a dry, healthy, and comfortable living space the homeowner can now enjoy with confidence!
Customer hired another contractor to install an egress, but it went all wrong. We stepped in and repaired the the work and installed a code-approved egress window system.
This customer had some concerning levels of moisture in the finished basement and noticed that mold was on a vent with an area of damp walls. Here we installed our SuperSump pump system with Zoeller M63 cast iron pump liner with an airtight lid that pumps out any water from the home. Then we installed our WaterGuard sub-flooring drainage system around the perimeter to capture any future water seepage and wall leaks. Lastly, we installed a Tuff top sump lid to hide the unit under the carpet of the finished basement.
