Quality 1st Basements was contacted by a homeowner living in Scotch Plains, NJ for water concerns they had in their basement. The existing sump pump in the basement was no longer properly pumping water out of the water causing the basement to flood. Quality 1st Basements installed a new drainage system known as WaterGuard to collect the water in the basement and direct it towards the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is the largest of the two basement sump pumps Quality 1st installs, making it fully capable of keeping a large basement of this size dry.  

This homeowner in Scotch Plains, New Jersey was experiencing some water seeping in through their walls and floors. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Greg Louis, provided an inspection and suggested they install a French drain system. Our foreman, Juan Garcia, installed the WaterGuard Drain System, which sits on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone. WaterGuard is installed below the floor slab and on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone and prevent clogging. This will allow it to collect any water that seeps in from the walls and floors and direct it right to the sump pump. We also installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier which will prevent water vapor from traveling through the foundation walls. Now, the homeowner will maintain a dry and healthy basement!
