Basement windows are typically not equipped to prevent water leaks. This homeowner noticed water would pool in the window well and leak into his basement. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure to keep rain out. The basement no longer leaks through the window and has drastically improved this basement.
When a water issue in a basement is ignored, that water creates a damp and musty environment over time. A musty odor could gradually form, creating unhealthy air which then travels from the basement to the first level and then eventually throughout the rest of the house. Quality 1st Basement Systems permanently protects the basement against water and moisture that could create that uncomfortable environment and poor air quality.
Sometimes a basement will not have water seepage right away yet the foundation walls have been storing water for months. This homeowner noticed water started to seep out of the small cracks in their foundation. They contacted Quality 1st Basements to waterproof their basement.
System Design Specialist, Steve, designed a solution that would keep this basement dry and healthy. He recommended our French Drain System known as WaterGuard. This French drain collects any water that seeps through the walls or up through the floor. He also recommended a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which would provide the ultimate protection for the space that large.
This homeowner had an old sump pump that they wanted to replace. Quality 1st installed the Triplesafe sump pump in the basement. The TripleSafe provides three levels of protection, with three pumps built in. In case of failure, the other lower level pumps can take over. The TripleSafe also has a battery backup system that can pump 11,500 gallons of water on a fully charged battery.
