At this property, we installed our waterproofing system with our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that connects to the sump system. On the outside of the home, we connected our IceGuard system, which is designed to prevent floods in winter and allows water to escape from the sump pump discharge line if frozen or clogged for any reason. This installation ejects water away from the foundation and will provide extra protection against flooding in the basement.
Customer would get water into the basement when the area would receive a heavy rain, could not pinpoint the location it would enter, would just see the aftermath and knew they needed the help of our company.
For this job, we tracked down the area where the water was coming in and installed a ThermalDry Wall System, which is a Vapor Barrier that has a radiant shield that reflects up to 97% of the heat back into your basement. We also installed Waterguard around the perimeter that will direct water getting into the basement to the SuperSump Pump we installed as well, to get pumped out of the basement.
This customer reached out to us wanting to replace her current egress window and well due to both beginning to rust and then well was starting to pull away from the foundation. We came out and installed a 38x48 Casement In-swing window along with a 60x66 Egress Rockwell and Rockwell Cover. Our Rockwells are UV stable, rust and rot proof and can withstand extreme temperatures, they have also duplicated the look of real stone which has a nicer look than a solid colored plastic well. We finished this install up with a Wellduct system which connects to the current waterproofing system in play.
This customer had just purchased a newly constructed home and immediately was not a fan of the Egress well and cover that came with the home. The current well was metal and was already showing signs of rust. We came out and installed our Rockwell Elite series well, along with our Rockwell Cover.
The Rockwell is a rigid construction that will not allow water to penetrate, so it will never rust or rot. Our Rockwell covers are built to hold up to 500lbs of weight and constructed to keep out water and debris, all while allowing natural light to enter the basement.
When this Phoenix, MD homeowner began noticing damp spots, musty odors, and water stains in their basement, they grew concerned about potential mold growth, wood rot, and long-term structural damage. Seeking a comprehensive and permanent solution, they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to assess the situation and provide a tailored waterproofing plan.
Our team conducted a thorough inspection and identified multiple sources of moisture intrusion, including groundwater seeping along the foundation, surface water pooling near the basement entry points, and minor leaks around windows. To address these issues, we installed our WaterGuard Drainage System to capture and redirect groundwater, a TrenchDrain System paired with a TripleSafe Sump Pump to manage surface water and ensure reliable water removal, CleanSpace Wall Panels to protect the walls and channel seepage into the drainage system, and a SunHouse Window Well to prevent water accumulation around basement windows.
This comprehensive approach provided the homeowner with a dry, safe, and structurally secure basement while protecting the home from further water damage!
