A homeowner in Nutley, New Jersey noticed their driveway was unlevel and sinking. Soil erosion under the concrete driveway occurs when water runs down through cracks where caulking is old, cracked, or missing. The water washes the soil out as it passes through. These voids cause the concrete to shift and settle, creating cracked and uneven surfaces.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, JC Gibriano, helped them find a solution to this issue. He recommended PolyLevel to lift the slab towards its original position. For the joints in between the slabs, JC suggested our NexusPro sealant. Our foreman installed the NexusPro Joint Sealant, which is more pliable than urethane based products, so the natural expansion and contraction of concrete during weather changes doesn't break the bond. NexusPro is a quick application and is long lasting.
We recently were able to assist a homeowner located in Nutley, NJ, after they reached out with concerns of structural deterioration and indications of settlement near their homes main entrance walkway. The owner was fed up with worrying about potentially fatal walking conditions for visitors and residents and knew a reliable solution was necessary.
After meeting with our system design specialist Joseph, the owner was given an essential and outlined solution specifically catered to their exact needs. Following this interaction, our foreman Ash and his crew began installing our stabilizing PolyLevel Foam Injections, beneath the sunken concrete to essentially restore the slabs to their designated surface height. The crew also carried out a full application of our ultraviolet NexusPro Joint Sealant, to the cracks and crevices to fully protect the surface from erosion.
From this day forward, this walkway is completely reinforced and safeguarded against future settlement obstacles!
