Homeowners living in Westwood, NJ were sitting out front on their porch when they noticed the concrete had sunk. Their porch was now uneven and it created an eyesore when guest approached the front door. Since they were not sure how this problem could be fixed, they asked their neighbor if they could recommend anyone. Since the neighbor had experienced similar problems in the past, they recommended Quality 1st Basement Systems.
The Westwood, NJ homeowner was able to call and schedule an appointment right away. System Design Specialist, Andy Gagliardi, did an inspection and measured about 2 inches of settlement throughout the entire porch area. Andy recommended PolyLevel, a foam solution that would be injected underneath the concrete slab. PolyLevel expands and hardens, raising the slab back to level. The homeowners were amazed at how easy the installation was and pleased that it caused no disruption to their home. Within a half hour of the slabs being raised the homeowners were able to sit on their porch and enjoy their evening breeze.
With help from both our System Design Specialist, Jay and PolyLevel Foreman, Iian, Quality 1st Basements was able to provide a permanent solution to the sinking patio area in Old Tappan, NJ. The homeowner had contacted Quality 1st when they got tired of the puddles forming in the middle of their patio from the settlement. They wanted to avoid replacing the patio area at all cost.
Iian was able to lift all for sinking slabs back to level, removing the dip in the patio. Now with the patio leveled, water would no longer get trapped in the middle and simply flow towards the grass.
We were contacted by the Frederick Douglass Academy VIII in Brooklyn, New York to repair their sinking concrete area in front of an entry way into the building. Multiple slabs were sinking and settling creating trip hazards and the area needed to be raised and leveled. We used our PolyLevel to raise the slabs back towards their original level, removing the trip hazards to create a safe walking area. Our team drilled small penny-size holes into the concrete and injecting PolyLevel to fill voids underneath.
A homeowner in Fort Lee, NJ was experiencing sinking and settling concrete in the front of their home. Joe, our Concrete Repair Specialist, performed a full inspection, took measurements and confirm that the there were no tree roots effecting the concrete area. He recommended to lift and stabilize the concrete, PolyLevel, would be the best solution. Concrete settles when the soil underneath can no longer support the weight and begins to settle. PolyLevel provides that support while filling the void.
