Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Most crawl spaces are damp and cool by nature since they are underground. This causes cold drafts in the winter and humid are in the summer. A homeowner in Hopatcong, NJ noticed their crawl space was damp and humid, so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a solution. They knew if this went without repair, it could cause issues such as rotting wood, increased energy bills, and even mold growth. We installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System which completely seals the crawl space from the earth's elements, keeping it dry and healthy. A Bridgewater, NJ, homeowner was interested in encapsulating their crawl space, so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for an estimate. A solution was installed, the CleanSpace Moisture Barrier, which seals the space off from the outside elements. Stopping moisture and dampness from passing through the dirt floor and foundation walls will help keep this space dry and healthy. 

To eliminate musty odors and cold floors, this homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basements  to encapsulate their crawl space. Our Senior Design Specialist, Jeff N., headed out to inspect the site and our team led by Wilver completed the installation. 

We installed SmartJack Stabilizers to provide additional support to the floor joist and crawl space beams to prevent sagging floors and structural issues in the future. Our team also installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System to prevent moisture and water from seeping through the foundation wall.  

A homeowner in Bridgewater, New Jersey noticed their home had water and moisture coming in through the walls and the floors. This happens because of the poorly compacted loose soil around the home. Over time, this loose soil settles and becomes saturated, which causes hydrostatic pressure to push water and moisture through the walls. He suggested they install a moisture barrier system, and also a French drain system. Our foremen installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System along the basement walls. CleanSpace will keep moisture out of the basement. It provides a vapor barrier, drains water behind it and brightens the appearance of the basement. Next, the foremen installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the footing, instead of alongside it. This keeps the wet dirt from getting into the drain because it does not sit in the mud. Now, the homeowner does not have to worry about water or moisture getting into the basement.
