Excess moisture had become a serious concern for this Bridgewater, NJ homeowner, as their crawl space lacked proper drainage and a reliable vapor barrier. These conditions led to persistent dampness, contributing to an uncomfortable indoor environment and raising the risk of mold, structural damage, and poor air quality. Seeking a long-term solution, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for help.
Our team conducted a comprehensive inspection and implemented a customized encapsulation system featuring our SilverGlo Insulation Panels and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. SilverGlo’s graphite-infused foam panels provide high-performance insulation and resist moisture, while CleanSpace creates a durable, sealed barrier that locks out humidity and vapor from the ground. Together, these systems transformed the crawl space into a dry, energy-efficient, and protected environment, giving the homeowner lasting comfort and peace of mind for years to come!
To eliminate musty odors and cold floors, this homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basements to encapsulate their crawl space. Our Senior Design Specialist, Jeff N., headed out to inspect the site and our team led by Wilver completed the installation.
We installed SmartJack Stabilizers to provide additional support to the floor joist and crawl space beams to prevent sagging floors and structural issues in the future. Our team also installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System to prevent moisture and water from seeping through the foundation wall.
A homeowner in Bridgewater, New Jersey noticed their home had water and moisture coming in through the walls and the floors. This happens because of the poorly compacted loose soil around the home. Over time, this loose soil settles and becomes saturated, which causes hydrostatic pressure to push water and moisture through the walls. This can have many negative effects such as mold, musty smells, increased heating and cooling bills, and even dust mites.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Mike DiVirgilio, was able to help them with a plan to fix this issue. He suggested they install a moisture barrier system, and also a French drain system. Our foremen installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System along the basement walls. CleanSpace will keep moisture out of the basement. It provides a vapor barrier, drains water behind it and brightens the appearance of the basement. Next, the foremen installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the footing, instead of alongside it. This keeps the wet dirt from getting into the drain because it does not sit in the mud. Now, the homeowner does not have to worry about water or moisture getting into the basement.
