This Short Hills, NJ homeowner contained a damp and humid crawl space, which was causing issues, so the homeowner decided to contact Quality 1st Basement Systems to have it inspected. Our System Design Specialist, Dane C., inspected the crawl space; once it was complete, Dane provided a quote for the homeowner. Within a week, our crew arrived at the home and installed our CleanSpace Moisture Barrier. CleanSpace is designed to block off water vapor and humidity from entering the crawl space, keeping it dry and healthy. Since the installation, the homeowner has not experienced any crawl space issues in their home.
Homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems about replacing the screen to the opening of the crawl space with a sealed door to prevent cold air and humidity from getting inside the crawl space. When the appointment was set, we sent out our Crawl Space Encapsulation booklet to the homeowner to help generate any other questions or concerns the new homeowner would have. By the time of the appointment, the homeowner wanted to get as much information as possible about encapsulation.
System Design Specialist, Ken Peare explained that the encapsulation of a crawl space is something that every homeowner should do because of the benefits. Encapsulation is when we stop moisture from passing through the walls and floor of the crawl space by installing a CleanSpace liner. This durable, bright white liner is mold and moisture resistant and waterproof to seal the crawl space off from unwanted cold drafts, humidity, dirt and pests that try to get inside.
Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to transform this crawl space making it healthier for the new homeowners living inside.
This Short Hills, NJ crawl space was dirty, wet and cold and the homeowners could feel that coldness come up through their floors. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to come and do a full inspection of their crawl space since they hadn't been down there in quite some time and the condition of it was unknown. The crawl space needed a complete waterproof system which consisted of WaterGuard and a SmartSump Pump specifically designed for the crawl space. Next, SilverGlo was installed on the floors and walls as a heat barrier keeping the crawl space warm and therefore the floors above warm as well. Lastly, a CleanSpace liner is installed over the SilveGlo as a vapor barrier. The CleanSpace will protect the crawl space against water, humidity, mold and moisture creating a clean dry environment in the crawl space.
Quality 1st Basement Systems provided a crawl space solution for this homeowner in Iselin, New Jersey. While our System Design Specialist, Mike Fiorillo, was inspecting their crawl space, he noticed that it wasn't sealed from the earth's elements. Mike suggested they encapsulate the crawl space to seal it off. Our foreman and crew installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, which is a mold-proof and waterproof liner. This system will prevent moisture and humidity from entering the space, keeping it dry and healthy all year round! When the homeowner saw the results, they were satisfied with the work done by Quality 1st!
Water damage was evidenced in this Morris County home due to the efflorescence on the crawl space walls. Efflorescence is caused by minerals left behind when water evaporates off of a surface. It looks like white chalky powder. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CleanSpace wall liners to seal off the crawl space from the humidity of the earth, a sump pump which will drain water out of the crawl space, and a SaniDry crawl space dehumidifier to keep the area moisture free all the time!
