The owners of this home noticed horizontal cracks in their cinderblock foundation that only got worse over time. Quality 1st Basement Systems helped their neighbors with same issue the year before, so they knew who to call. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CarbonArmor along the walls of the basement to stabilize the wall. This wall is now safe and will not continue to bow and crack.
With help from Senior Design Specialist, Ken Peare and Foundation Foreman, Jonathan Neira, Quality 1st Basements was able to stabilize this failing and unstable foundation with our Helical Pier Foundation System.
Each Pier has a plate welded to the shaft which helps to pull the pier into the soil during installation and provides anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation is transferred to the pier. Helical Pier installation is fast, yet effective. Not only does it stabilize the foundation permanently but can help lift the settled foundation back towards its original position.
When they noticed their basement wall was cracked and bowing, this homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basements for a solution. Our senior Design Specialist, Ken P., provided the homeowner with a designed solution that best fit the needs of this homes foundation. This included the installation of the CarbonArmor System. Wilver, our project Foreman, and his team headed out to the site and installed Our Reinforcement Wall System.
The walls are now completely stabilized and the homeowner no longer has to worry about their basement wall caving in. This system provides the ultimate solution since it will now prevent future movement, it can be adjusted to gradually pull the wall back towards its originally position and finally it can be covered if the homeowner decides to finish their basement.
A homeowner in Bridgewater, NJ, was experiencing horizontal cracks all over the wall. Moisture and frost, interact with the soil around the home and then cause the soil to expand. That expansion results in constant inward force on the foundation wall until it can no longer support the pressure, causing cracking, bowing, and tipping.
Senior Foundation Foreman, Jonathan Neira, arrived at the job site and started to sand down the area where the Carbon Armor strips were going to be placed. Team members then saturated the Carbon Armor Straps with epoxy resin and placed it on the affected area. The strap is 10 times stronger than steel therefore gave this homeowner a piece of mind.
The foundation walls in this Bridgewater, NJ home were bowing and beginning to crack. The homeowner knew that something had to be done to stabilize the walls, so they contacted Quality 1st Basements. System Design Specialist, Ken P. went to inspect the home and suggested that the homeowner have Carbon Armor installed. The CarbonArmor System is the perfect solution for bowing and cracked walls. The material used to create the product is the same technology that the Army Corps Engineers developed to reinforce bomb shelter, skyscrapers & bridges. The flexible carbon fabric straps are up to 10x stronger than steel. The installation is quick and requires no excavation. A huge benefit of having CarbonArmor installed rather than steel beams is its compact nature. They can easily be painted over and won't impact basement finishing.
