They were concerned for the integrity of their foundation and wanted an opinion from a specialist.  Quality 1st Basement Systems sent Foundation Specialist, Anthony Guzzi, out to inspect the basement walls and provide a solution for wall movement. A resident in Hoboken, New Jersey noticed their floors were sagging. Over time, this area had high moisture and humidity that effected the wooden beams inside the crawlspace. The floor joist began to sag causing the first floor to become uneven.

He suggested they use steel support systems to stabilize and level the home. Our foreman, Mario Barron, installed the SmartJack Steel Support System in the crawl space. SmartJacks do not replace the current columns, but they offer additional support to the entire crawl space beam and floor joist.
