The Well duct will direct any water that may come in through the window down to the waterguard, where water will flow through the waterguard and over to the SuperSump to be pumped out of the basement.
In Upper Falls, MD, a homeowner reached out to us, concerned about water seeping into their basement. During heavy rainfalls, the basement floor became wet, and they were worried about potential damage to their property. To address this, we implemented our tried-and-tested waterproofing system. We began with the installation of WaterGuard, our sub-floor perimeter drainage system, specifically designed to capture wall and floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor. WaterGuard was discreetly placed below the surface, safeguarding the space without disrupting its aesthetic. Complementing this, we installed the SuperSump system, a reliable solution designed to handle substantial water volumes and alert the homeowner if water levels ever rise unexpectedly.
This basement had a bowing wall, causing cracking and separation of the block. We installed the PowerBrace wall stabilization system to permanently stabilize this home's foundation wall. It comes with a 25-year warranty against further bowing, tipping or shearing. In addition, this system has the ability to be tightened periodically over time, putting reverse pressure on the bowing wall, which helps to straighten it. We also installed ThermalWall vapor barrier to keep moisture out and the warm air in.
In this basement, the bottom of the moldy paneling was removed so that we could install WaterGuard and do mold remediation with Moldx2. After the repairs were made, we installed the inorganic TBF Everlast wall system, which is guaranteed for 50 years against Mold or water damage.
This customer had a finished basement that had 3 bedrooms, but before these bedrooms could become livable spaces, there needed to be an emergency exit in play. The customer reached out to us to install 3 Egress windows, one in each of the bedrooms. Egress windows are not only good for a quick and safe way to exit the basement in case of an emergency, but these windows also allow in a lot of natural light, making the bedroom brighter, causing you to use less electric via having the light on during the day.
The customer chose to have 3, Slider Egress Windows with Rockwells and Rockwell Covers installed along with WellDucts that would tie in to the current waterproofing system.
