In Newark, DE, a homeowner began noticing consistent water seepage around their basement, particularly after heavy rainfall. The moisture buildup raised concerns about possible long-term issues like wood rot and mold growth, which could compromise the health and safety of the living space. Upon inspection, it was clear that the culprit was an old, underperforming sump pump that could no longer manage the high volume of groundwater entering the area. With water continuing to intrude, the homeowner knew it was time to call in professionals for a permanent solution.
After reaching out to Quality 1st, our team conducted a detailed evaluation of the basement and identified the most effective waterproofing strategy. We installed our patented SuperSump Premier Sump Pump for high-capacity water removal, our WellDuct System to safely redirect water from the window wells, and our IceGuard Discharge Line to ensure proper drainage even during freezing conditions. These systems now work together to provide powerful, year-round protection against water intrusion. Thanks to this comprehensive upgrade, the basement has been fully restored to a dry, healthy state, giving the homeowner lasting peace of mind.
This basement had several problems. The foundation wall was starting to bow inward, so we installed CarbonArmor Straps to reinforce the wall and prevent it from continuing to bow. We also installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump along with the WaterGuard Drainage System to take care of the water that was entering the basement. To finish the job, we installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls. CleanSpace works in conjunction with WaterGuard and keeps water from entering the basement by catching any moisture that may come through the walls and directing it into the WaterGuard system, where it will either evaporate or drain away into the sump.
CleanSpace has the added bonus of brightening up your basement. It’s a fast and economical way to cover ugly basement walls. CleanSpace Wall is washable, durable, and can conform to bumpy walls, and it is installed using permanent, drilled-in fasteners, so it stays put for a neat, clean appearance.
This customer had a monolithic foundation, which prevented us from cutting the floor near the foundation wall to install a traditional sub-floor waterproofing system. So we installed a DryTrak cove channel system with a TripleSafe Sump System. We also installed a sub-floor drainage system towards the middle of the floor to deal with hydrostatic pressure.
This customer had a humid, dingy, and dirty crawl space. We installed our SaniDry - Upright XP, drainage matting and our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Now, this once dirty space can be used as storage.
This customer had a semi-finished basement; they were not yet ready to fully finish the basement, but wanted to somehow cover up the bare concrete walls, just make it look cleaner and presentable. We had the perfect product for this, it is called Basement to Beautiful. Basement to Beautiful wall panels foam panels( made from our Silver glo Foam insulation) that feature metal studs and have a clear vapor barrier so they can never grow mold or rot like conventional insulation and wood studs. The Basement to Beautiful panel is not a finished panel, but can easily pair up and have one of our Everlast Wall Panels installed over it.
