Quality 1st Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Concerns about repeated water seepage and noticeable floor sagging led a Bear, DE homeowner to seek out a permanent solution before more serious structural problems could develop.

Upon inspection, Quality 1st identified two primary issues, foundation settlement compromising floor stability, and groundwater intrusion through the wall-floor joint and porous basement walls. The combination posed a significant risk not only to the home's structural integrity but also to the indoor air quality due to excess moisture and the potential for mold growth.

To resolve these issues, our team implemented a dynamic waterproofing and foundation repair system. We began by installing our WaterGuard Drainage System along the interior perimeter to capture and redirect groundwater to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which offers triple-layer protection, including a battery backup. CleanSpace Wall Panels were added to act as a moisture barrier and guide wall seepage into the drainage system, while IceGuard was installed on the discharge line to prevent freezing-related backups. Finally, to stabilize the sagging floor and address the foundation settlement, we installed our SmartJack Support System, providing adjustable, long-term support.

With these solutions in place, the homeowner now enjoys a structurally sound, dry, and healthy basement environment!

The customer wanted to finish the basement, but this basement needed some work done first. First, we installed the WaterGuard waterproofing system. Then we added CarbonArmor to repair the bowing foundation wall. We also had to add an egress to meet code. We finished the basement with our TBF finishing system, which comes with a 50-year guarantee against water or mold damage. In this basement, water was intruding through the drywall and a moldy smell started to occur in the area. Our team went out to cut back the wall, removed and hauled away damaged insulation in order for us to install our sub-floor drainage system with a vapor barrier. This drain system will capture any water that seeps in through the foundation, which gets carried down safely through our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier that connects to the WaterGuard. This surface barrier eliminates vapor, moisture and by keeping this area dry, will prevent mold growth.
