A homeowner in Nottingham, MD had long envisioned transforming their basement into a finished, livable space, but persistent moisture issues kept getting in the way. Water intrusion not only made the area damp and uncomfortable, but also raised concerns about potential mold growth and long-term damage. Determined to protect their investment and finally move forward with their renovation plans, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st for a permanent and effective solution.
After a thorough inspection, our team recommended the installation of our patented EverLast Wall Panels, specially designed for the unique challenges of basement environments. These panels are made from durable, non-organic materials that resist moisture, mold, and mildew, making them an ideal choice for finishing lower-level spaces. Once in place, the EverLast System not only resolved the moisture concerns but also significantly improved the basement’s aesthetics and functionality. The homeowner now has a clean, dry, and attractive space they can confidently move forward with, knowing it’s protected for the long term.
This crawl space was damp and water would seep in through the block walls and down to the dirt floor. We came out and installed a Cleanspace Vapor barrier, Drainage Matting, Silver Glo insulation and a SaniDry CX Dehumidifier.
The basement in this home was going to be used as a daycare but before they could go forward with those plans, there needed to be a safe exit plan in play, in case exiting up the stairs, was not an option.
Currently there were 2 small, side by side, above grade windows and we needed to turn one into an Egress. This job ended up being a custom install of a 36x40 Egress Window.
Now with this install the customer can run his childcare program knowing the kids have a quick and safe exit in case of any emergencies.
At this Pasadena home, the crawl space was getting filled with water during rainfall. We sent a team out to install our crawl space encapsulation system with a Drainage Matting that lies under the CleanSpace liner. The durable liner is a 20mil thick, 7 layer polyethylene composition that is reinforced with polyester cord. This system will help seal out cold drafts and it helps reduce moisture in the air, keeping the humidity low.
We were called regarding high moisture in this dirt crawl space, and the homeowners wanted to look into sealing it at some point. Our team removed, hauled and of all the old damp insulation from the crawl space to make room for the liner. We installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation system to address the crawl space problems and to cut down on the vapor that seeps in through the dirt floor. Lastly, we surrounded the perimeter walls with our SilverGlo insulated wall panels to keep a dry and energy crawl space.
