We installed our patented Egress Window for enhanced safety and natural light, along with a Window WellDuct System to ensure proper drainage from the well into the home’s waterproofing system. To seal the wall cracks, we applied our FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair System, a flexible, permanent solution designed to prevent re-cracking and direct any seepage away from the interior. Finally, we added our IceGuard Discharge Line to protect against backups from frozen discharge pipes.
With these systems in place, the basement is now fully protected, providing the homeowner with a safe, dry, and comfortable space year-round!
Ongoing water issues in a North East, MD crawl space led a concerned homeowner to notice early signs of rot, musty odors, and mold development, clear indicators of excessive moisture. Seeking a long-term fix, they contacted Quality 1st for expert help.
During our detailed inspection, we traced the water intrusion to specific problem areas and created a custom waterproofing strategy to eliminate the source. Our team installed a dynamic system that included SilverGlo Insulation Panels for improved thermal protection, our StarPipe Drainage System to channel groundwater away, and our TripleSafe Sump Pump for reliable water removal.
To further safeguard the space, we connected the pump to our IceGuard Discharge Line for freeze protection and added our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to maintain optimal humidity levels. These high-performance solutions worked together to prevent future moisture buildup, protect the foundation, and create a cleaner, healthier environment under the home.
The homeowner can now enjoy long-term peace of mind knowing their crawl space is permanently protected against water damage and mold growth!
An open sump pit can release unpleasant odors and even radon gases. It is also a collector of dust, dirt, and other small particles that can clog the pump and cause it to fail when you need it the most. We upgraded their current sump to our Super Sump Pump. The SuperSump is equipped with a 1/3hp Zoeller pump, which pumps 2650 gallons per hour. The SuperSump also comes with an Airtight lid so no odors or harmful gases can escape and no bugs or dirt can enter.
In this basement, the owner had a sump pump that was working, but wanted to add a battery to the system in case of a power outage. Our team installed our UltraSump Battery Back-up to the sump itself, which will sound an alarm when the battery kicks on. The system removes up to 12,000 gallons of water when fully charged and can keep the home protected from flooding till the primary pump kicks back on.
In this basement, water was coming in and would sit in the corner of the home. Our team went out to dig up the foundation along the perimeter to install our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that is designed to capture water seepage that comes through the walls. This device is connected to the sump pump system that will properly pump water safely and efficiently away from the home.
