A homeowner in Oak Ridge, New Jersey noticed their concrete walkway was beginning to sink and settle. Soil becomes either too wet or too dry underneath the slab causing the concrete to shift and settle, creating uneven surfaces and dangerous tripping hazards.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Jeff Pitek, was able to help them find a solution. He suggested a polyurethane foam be injected into the voids to lift the concrete. Our foreman, Victor Leon, installed the PolyLevel System. This is done by drilling tiny holes into the concrete slab and injecting the PolyLevel foam underneath. The expanding properties of the polyurethane allow for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab. Now, the homeowner does not have to worry about dangerous tripping hazards while walking into their home.
