What began as subtle floor unevenness soon became a clear sign of a deeper structural issue for this Ventnor City, NJ homeowner. Concerned about worsening conditions, they reached out to Quality 1st Basement Systems for help.
During our inspection, our specialists discovered that prolonged moisture exposure and gradual foundation settlement had caused the crawl space support beams to weaken and deteriorate. This deterioration led to visible bowing in the walls and uneven flooring throughout the home, signaling the need for immediate and permanent structural reinforcement.
To correct the problem and restore stability, our team designed a customized repair solution utilizing our SmartJack Support System. These high-strength, galvanized steel supports were strategically installed on engineered fill bases to ensure a solid, load-bearing foundation. Once in place, the SmartJacks immediately stabilized the crawl space and lifted the floor joists back to their proper position. The result was a structurally sound and level home, giving the homeowner lasting peace of mind and confidence in the long-term safety and integrity of their property!
This homeowner from Ventnor City, NJ noticed uneven floors, sticking doors, and sagging beams which are often signs of a weakened crawl space structure. One of our System Design Specialists recommended the SmartJack System, an adjustable steel support designed to stabilize and strengthen floor joists and beams. During installation, SmartJacks are placed on engineered footings to provide solid, lasting support beneath the home. Once in place, they can be precisely adjusted to help restore floors to their original position and prevent further settling. The result is a safer, sturdier foundation and the peace of mind that comes with knowing the structure is properly supported for years to come.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier is a durable but flexible liner used to separate the earth from the home in crawl spaces. This customer also had SilverGlo Wall Panels installed to add to the insulation. Design Specialist Joseph Mancini helped the customer choose a plan that best fit their needs while Jonathan Neira and his crew installed the selected products (including SmartPipe and Drainage matting beneath the CleanSpace, and a SuperSump sump pump system, a Sedona air filtration system and vent cover not shown here).
Water damage was evidenced in this Morris County home due to the efflorescence on the crawl space walls. Efflorescence is caused by minerals left behind when water evaporates off of a surface. It looks like white chalky powder. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CleanSpace wall liners to seal off the crawl space from the humidity of the earth, a sump pump which will drain water out of the crawl space, and a SaniDry crawl space dehumidifier to keep the area moisture free all the time!
A homeowner in Pine Brook was losing a lot of money on utilities due to her exposed crawl space. The outside air was easily seeping in through the porous concrete walls, along with water, leaving the crawl space humid and damp. She called Quality 1st Basement Systems and a crew installed the CleanSpace Liner. This crawl space encapsulation system is made of durable layers of plastic, which makes it waterproof as well as mold resistant. They also installed a SaniDry CX Air Filtration System, which dehumidifies as well as filters, leaving the air dry and clean!
