Carmine's seaside home in Little Egg Harbor was experiencing moisture and possibly mold in the crawl space. Because of the dirt floor in his crawl space, there were high levels of humidity and it was creating an overall unhealthy environment. Quality 1st Basements solution was to encapsulate Carmine's crawl space with CleanSpace to separate the house from the earth and give his crawl space a more pleasant appearance. Ultimately, this solved the humidity problem and the homeowner had peace of mind knowing his home, and the people inside, were safe.
Due to the high water table of this Union County crawl space, Quality 1st Basement Systems installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the crawl space. Traditionally, WaterGuard is used in basements, but due to the unique circumstances surrounding this crawl space, it was the perfect fit. Water was coming into the crawl space through the floor joints. WaterGuard will drain the water to sump pump that was also installed. The TripleSafe sump pump will pump the water out of the crawl space and away from the home. This crawl space has not flooded since the repair was done!
