A crawl space of a Little Egg Harbor Twp, NJ home was facing problems with moisture and mold causing damage to the interior. The homeowner knew they needed a waterproofing solution so they contacted the Quality 1st team. Once we assessed the space, we were able to recommend the best installation for the home's needs. We installed a complete encapsulation in the crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier and Drainage Matting pairing. The space was insulated with our SilverGlo Insulation to control the temperature and block water from coming through the walls. The crawl space got a new sump pump, our SuperSump System, and was equipped with a Sedona Dehumidifier for optimal moisture control.
With these systems in place, the crawl space is waterproofed and guaranteed protection from intruding water.
Carmine's seaside home in Little Egg Harbor was experiencing moisture and possibly mold in the crawl space. Because of the dirt floor in his crawl space, there were high levels of humidity and it was creating an overall unhealthy environment. Quality 1st Basements solution was to encapsulate Carmine's crawl space with CleanSpace to separate the house from the earth and give his crawl space a more pleasant appearance. Ultimately, this solved the humidity problem and the homeowner had peace of mind knowing his home, and the people inside, were safe.
Due to the high water table of this Union County crawl space, Quality 1st Basement Systems installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the crawl space. Traditionally, WaterGuard is used in basements, but due to the unique circumstances surrounding this crawl space, it was the perfect fit. Water was coming into the crawl space through the floor joints. WaterGuard will drain the water to sump pump that was also installed. The TripleSafe sump pump will pump the water out of the crawl space and away from the home. This crawl space has not flooded since the repair was done!
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was installed to the walls to prevent moisture and mold growth. This will keep the space dry and heathy and promote cleaner, better quality air to prevent that nasty basement smell. It is tucked into our french drain system know as WaterGuard to direct water seepage from the wall direct down into the system to flow into the sump pump.
This Summit, NJ, homeowner was increasingly concerned about the rising moisture levels in their crawl space following a series of heavy rainfalls, which were causing dampness, mold growth, and musty odors throughout the home. After researching solutions, they contacted Quality 1st for a professional assessment and a long-term fix.
Our team recommended the installation of our specially patented Drainage Matting to redirect water away from the foundation, along with SilverGlo Insulation Panels to prevent condensation and maintain consistent temperatures. Finally, our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System was installed, creating a tight seal to prevent moisture from entering the crawl space and improving overall air quality.
With these advanced solutions in place, the crawl space was restored to a dry, healthy condition, giving the homeowner peace of mind knowing their home was protected from future moisture issues.
