A homeowner in Old Bridge, New Jersey noticed their basement walls were cracking and bowing inwards. This is due to the poorly compacted, saturated soil around the foundation, which creates hydrostatic pressure against the walls. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Will Harris, who suggested they use a wall reinforcement system. Our foreman installed the CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcement System which is made from a fiber-reinforced polymer that is 10 times stronger than steel. The straps are attached to the wall and secured with heavy-duty steel brackets. The straps will stabilize the wall and begin to pull it back to its original position.
