The homeowner has noticed water seeping into their basement during heavy rains, so our System Design Specialist, Will H., was set to inspect the situation. During the inspection, Will noticed the basement walls were bowing inwards and cracking, thus allowing water to seep inside. He then recommended our Carbon Armor Reinforcement System would help prevent the cracks from expanding. To help with the water issue, Will also recommended our WaterGuard French Drain system. Since the installation, the homeowner has not experienced any other issues in their home, and their peace of mind has been restored. 

A Manchester, NJ homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems after noticing a stair-step crack forming on the exterior block of their home's foundation. Our System Design Specialist, Jay A., provided a thorough inspection of the home. After, he presented his findings to the homeowner, along with a quote. A few days later, our crew arrived at the home to install the Helical Pier System. Helical Piers are designed to lift and stabilize your home's foundation. A Whiting, NJ, homeowner became concerned for their home after finding significant gaps forming between the walls and floor on the first level of their home. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to have someone inspect their crawl space to determine the cause behind their floor sagging. Our Crawl Space System Design Specialist, Anthony, performed a thorough inspection and noticed the floor joist and crawl space beams were sagging. Anthony could see that they were in good condition but lacked support, and he recommended installing our SmartJack Crawl Space Support System. SmartJacks are installed against each crawl space beam to support the floor above. Gradually, this system can bring the floor back to its original position over time. 

A homeowner in Caldwell, New Jersey was looking to support their crawl space. A crawl space might need support for many issues. One of the main issues to look out for would be sagging or bouncing floors. Since crawl spaces are often unsealed from the Earth, moisture and humidity is a problem. When the wood is exposed to this, it begins to rot, mold, and become weak. This means, the floor joists are unable to continue supporting the weight of the home. The homeowner called Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Joe Mancini, provided an inspection of the home. Joe suggested they install a steel support system to be placed in the crawl space. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed The Smart Jack System. This is done by digging two feet of soil where the SmartJacks will be placed. The SmartJacks are assembled and then connected to the support beam, and the system is tightened in place. The support beam and floor joists are stabilized and leveled. These steel support systems do not replace the existing columns and piers, but add strength and stability to what is there.
