A homeowner in Waldwick, NJ noticed their floors were sagging, so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems. Our System Design Specialist, Steve R., inspected the home and discovered the cause, of the problem, was due to a damp and humid crawl space beneath the home. Dampness and humidity cause wood rot to the main crawl space beams, which causes the floors to sag. We resolved the issue by installing our SmartJack System, which supports the crawl space beam, and straightens the floors. The homeowner was very happy with the results.
A Ridgewood, NJ homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a foundation solution. The homeowner was interested in providing extra support for their floors, so our crew installed the SmartJack Crawl Space Support System. SmartJacks provide additional support to the floor joist prevent sagging to the first floor.
SmartJack System installed in Manasquan, NJ to efficiently support the above floors in CrawlSpace.
This Manasquan foundation was compromised due to a large tree against the home. After the tree was removed, Quality 1st Basement Systems repaired the foundation cracks and bowing walls with CarbonArmor with the ArmorLock system which will stop any inward movement at the top of the wall as well, further keeping this home safe and stable!
A homeowner in Manasquan, New Jersey noticed their walls were bowing inwards and cracking. This is caused by the expansion of the soil and hydrostatic pressure. When soil gets saturated during periods of rainfall, the soil expands. When it expands in size, it puts a lot of pressure on the basement walls. The pressure becomes more than the wall can handle, and the wall begins to push inwards.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Jonathan Seminerio, provided an inspection of the home and helped them find a solution for this issue. He suggested they use a fiber material to permanently stabilize the wall. Our foreman installed the Carbon Armor System which has a fabric quality that makes it flexible to be installed tightly against the basement walls. This system will prevent the wall from bowing inwards and have minimal disruption to the foundation and landscaping.
