I first approached Quality 1st Basement Systems because I was interested in getting a quote for basement waterproofing, and possible foundation repair. When I first contacted them, I was very satisfied with the information that was provided to me. Ultimately however what sold me the most was the sales team. I had three estimates in the past for the work which was performed, however Ken Peare's sales tactics won me over. The crew, with Juan as the foreman, was extremely efficient, friendly and left the basement in fantastic condition. It was much appreciated!

I had a window well drain, new window well (1st Quality basement sun house) and new window installed in my basement in a area where water would get in during heavy rains. Juan Garcia was the foreman on the job and he and his crew were excellent. They were professional, courteous and patiently answered any question I had as they were performing the job. The crew was thorough and clean, which all homeowners can appreciate. When the job was done, Juan and crew did not rush out the door. Juan ensured we did a full walk through and he re-explained everything one last time. This is a fairly straightforward job for them, but I certainly will bring back 1st Quality for potential jobs down the road.

When we bought this home, it was a dry period at the end of the summer and our inspection noted water stains on the exposed footing in one of our crawl spaces. He suggested it was a grading issue which we addressed with a landscaping company. However that didn’t alleviate the puddles forming after heavy rains in the crawl space. I realized we would have to water proof it so that I could get piece of mind. I called in 3 companies, 2 wanted to do French drains inside leading to a sump pump. A method I was familiar with from a prior basement waterproofing. I was very skeptical when Jeff Nero a design consultant for Quality 1st came to explain the encapsulation concept of water control. Jeff got into the space and looked over every area of my concern, coming up with a suggested solution. After answering all of my concerns and questions, Jeff had convinced me this was what i needed for my problem. I would be encapsulating the space with their system AND they would be insulating the entire space to an R11 value. Before water proofing became an issue this insulation was going to be a separate project and done by another company; but was all part of the Quality 1st crawl space system. Not only did I do that space but also did the other crawl space that didn't have water but was in need of insulation and seal up. It was prepared the same as the other area but without a sump pump. If water ever got into that space all we would need is to have them install the pump. 2 spaces handled for less than the cost of one space with French drains. I was AMAZED! The crew showed up on time, prepared the area in the basement for dust protection and went to work on the 2 areas simultaneously. By 4:30 they were finished and wow, did those crawl spaces look clean, bright and well insulated. This encapsulation method has allowed me to open up the crawl spaces to the rest of the basement to allow them to become the same temperature as the main basement area. The floors above those areas are warmer making the rooms warmer. Because of this waterproofing method I don’t feel like an obsessed man constantly looking at accumulating water and you know how that feels if you are dealing with water.I’d recommend their system for crawl spaces and am considering their patented basement finishing system too.

I have been completely satisfied with everything from Steve V. coming to my home and giving me a reasonable quote for doing a french drain in my cellar to Juan and his crew doing the job that I am very satisfied with. I would recommend this company for any job that that they are qualified to do.

Quality 1st repaired a foundation wall and installed a sump pump in my basement. We had some difficulty with the town approving the foundation wall repair and Kyle saved the day! He is the on-site project manager. He coordinated with the engineer, the installers, and the town to make it right. In the end, we needed 2 extra steel support beams and Kyle made sure they were installed immediately and correctly without charging me extra. My only advice to anyone who needs a foundation repair is to request Quality 1st have the engineer visit the site first rather than later.

The salesman was very thorough and took his time to answer all of my questions. The installation crew was courteous, efficient, and professional. I am glad I chose Quality 1st basement systems because I have heard nothing but positive things about the company and the price was very reasonable.

Mike D. of quality first basements was very professional throughout the process. Mike walked me through the installation process and best ideas and practices. I will also note Mike was honest with what was necessary to keep my basement dry. He worked with me as far as timing, because these type of projects are expensive to complete. Wilbur was the foreman on the job. Wilbur was professional and explained each step he was taking during the installation and advised me to use the triple safe sump pump and the Sani-Dry dehumidifier. Quality 1st did an excellent job in my crawlspace. I had over two feet of water flood my crawlspace during hurricane Sandy and I also had moisture issues. When I called for my free estimate the office staff was very professional and willing to help. They had done work for my local church so I felt like I could trust them. My inspector Nick explained everything and answered all of my questions. He gave a great presentation and left a reasonable price quote. When it came down to having the work installed the crew was very courteous, professional, neat, and they worked quickly. The crew led by Jesus was able to transform my crawlspace in just one day!

I am very satisfied with the job completed in my basement. the water guard french drain system that was installed works very good. My Quality 1st representative Rick Ludlow knew his job very well. Juan's installation crew worked well together and they were efficient.

Mike, the sales rep, promised and Jonathan, the crew foreman, delivered! After years of attempts at managing a wet crawl space with iron residue, we selected Quality First to install their system to effectively manage this issue once and for all. Mike clearly explained the system and tailored the proposal to meet our unique situation. He answered all our questions, was accessible when we contacted him, and was a pleasure to work with. No hard sell which we appreciated. Jonathan arrived with his crew and they worked tirelessly over two full days to first thoroughly clean the orange mud residue then install a French drain, sump pumps, discharge pipes, vent covers, liner, and humidifier. Jonathan is a true professional, answered any questions we had, made sure we were satisfied, and was meticulous ensuring the crawl space, yard and driveway were thoroughly clean at the end of each day. The space looked exactly like the promotional brochure at the end. Very impressive.

 Quality 1st are the guys to use! From the system designer Steve, through execution and cleanup by Wilver, Carlos, Saul, Danny, and the rest of the crew - these guys were all outstanding.Overcame hiccups, accommodated the homeowner, respectful, courteous, and did it all in one day. An absolute job well done. Kudos to the admin and scheduling team in the office too. I can sleep well at night with my new Waterguard system and Triple Safe pump. Mold-x2 worked well, and the vapor barrier is QUALITY stuff too! Five stars for these guys!

After a year of consideration, I took my friends advice and contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems.  The warranty offered was one of the top reasons that Quality 1st was used.  I am very satisfied with the work that they did.  When the installation team arrived, they were eager to get the work completed and also very clean.  With my battery backup I feel confident going forward that I will not have a wet basement again and I am happy I chose to work with Quality 1st Basement Systems.
